Error 404: Glitch Found
A book collection that brings the aesthetic of Glitch Art
to the printed/editorial design and studies its application.
Error 404: Glitch Found is a Glitch Art book collection done as academic project at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi.
The collection brings the visual identity
of the Glitch Art to the physical world, being an editorial project constituted
of 3 parts: a text book; an image/text book; and a totally photographic book.
The adaptation of the digital universe of the Glitch Art to the physical world is done through simulating diagramming errors, formatting errors, posible file corruptions and printing errors.
The Glitch Moment(um)
The book The Glitch Moment(um), writen by Rosa Menkman, is a publication without images.
That brings the challenge to use the visual identity of the Glitch Art in the text paragraphs and in the page layout.
Using simulations of typing, diagrammation and printing errors, interleaved with pages "without errors",
is created a reading rhythm that makes the "glitches" appear unexpectedly while reading.
The Glitch Aesthetics
The book The Glitch Aesthetics, writen by Iman Moradi, is a publication with images and texts that presents different forms of the errors.
Divided into 6 chapters, the book is diagrammed with 6 different page formats (one for each chapter) and,
all together, they create a unique image.
It also has the format of a binder, with apparent seam and a hard cover.
How Far Goes The Control Of Error
The book How Far Goes The Control Of Error is a photographic book with authorial content and is divided into 3 chapters:
Chapter 1: digital photos displayed on a tube television distorted with a magnet. It represents the most controlled level of error.
Chapter 2: scanned photos with changed or corrupted source code to generate random errors, representing less control about the results.
Chapter 3: pictures burned with gunpowder, generating the total lack of control about the errors.
